In NYC the Brits are known for for their press stunts... Often they sounded amusing, when watched at a safe distance... Lots of New Yorkers on business prefered Paris back then, it was much cheaper, even to do business with the Brits, meeting at a great old inexpensive restaurant one of us would know... Or meeting new British suppliers at the event their Ambassador would usually host around Premiere Vision and the other Parisian textile and support shows...
However, back then, there was a story going around about a young couple of Brit lingerie designers who placarded LFW, with signs that read something along the lines: "No More M&S Choose S&M CHOOSE Agent Provocateur"Designer LULU LIU
PS: As far as we can report "No Dogs Were Hurt" in LULU's stunt...
