Johnny Depp (John Christopher Depp II ) is a famous American actor and his most notable roles are Captain Jack Sparrow in "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" (with a co-actress Keira Knightley), Edward Scissorhands in "Edward Scissorhands", Edward D. Wood Jr. in "Ed Wood".
Johnny Depp was born on June 9, 1963 in Owensboro, Kentucky, USA to John Christopher Depp and Betty Sue Wells. Being a teenager Depp quit the school in order to be a rock star. Soon after that Johnny started playing in the garage band called "The Kids". His wish to act appeared in early eighties, when he was introduced to Nicolas Cage, a famous American actor. It didn't take a long time to get first roles as Johnny Depp showed great acting skills and turned into a pop idol in the USA.
The significant moment in Johnny Depp's acting career was the year 1984 when he played a role in a horror movie called "A Nightmare on Elm Street" (1984). The fame followed him during 90's as well, but the greatest success for Depp is considered to get the role in "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" which came out in 2003. Recently his salary has grown up from 10 million US for "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" (2003) to 20 million US for "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" (2006).
Since 1998 Depp has been in relationships with a famous French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis and they have two children.
